The official website and X/Twitter account for the Even the Student Council Has its Holes! (Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru!) TV anime have revealed a new character promotional video and visual, confirming the cast for another member of the show's eccentric student council: Tan Otori.
Hiyori Kōno Joins the Cast as Tan Otori
Hiyori Kōno, known for voicing Kaho Komiya in The Idolmaster franchise, will voice Tan Otori, the student council's oddly dressed PR officer, who comes across as playful and teasing in the new trailer. Tan joins previously revealed council members Hisako Kotobuki, Ume Mizunoe, and Komaro Michinoku, with Shōgo Sakata leading the cast as protagonist Ume Mizunoe.
About the Series
Even the Student Council Has its Holes! is an adaptation of Muchimaro's four-panel (yonkoma) manga, serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine since 2022 and currently spanning 12 volumes. The manga won the print category at the Next Manga Awards 2023, and an earlier animated PV became one of the Shonen Magazine YouTube channel's most-viewed uploads, racking up millions of views. The plot follows Ume Mizunoe, a first-year student who joins the student council simply to avoid repeating a grade, only to find himself surrounded by a wildly eccentric group of upperclassmen — each strange in their own particular way.
Staff
The anime is directed by Naoyuki Tatsuwa (Ōmuro-ke, Gourmet Girl Graffiti, Nisekoi — False Love, Promise of Wizard) at studio Passione. Ryo Imamura (ONIMAI: I'm Now Your Sister!) is handling character designs, while Masahiro Yokotani (Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!, Re:ZERO −Starting Life in Another World−, Beelzebub, The Devil Is a Part-Timer!) is overseeing and writing the series scripts.
Even the Student Council Has its Holes! is set to debut in October 2026.
